As part of ADP’s centralized UX Research team, you’ll lead impactful research that guides the design of our cloud-based payroll, HR, tax, and benefits products. You’ll collaborate daily with designers, product managers, and developers—bringing the voice of our users into every decision.

You’ll design and execute research across the full product lifecycle—from discovery to usability testing—using both moderated and unmoderated methods. You’ll translate insights into clear, actionable guidance that helps global teams build better, more human-centered solutions. What You’ll Do:

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Lead UX Researcher at ADP.

• Create Human Empathy. You’ll ask the right “why” questions, define research plans, and propose timelines to bring user understanding to life.
• You’ll work closely with cross-functional, often global teams in a fast-paced environment to surface user needs and influence product priorities.
• Recruit & Collect. You’ll manage participant recruitment and use a range of qualitative and quantitative methods to gather data that informs design decisions.
• Analysis & Synthesis. You’ll turn research into actionable insights and compelling narratives that align stakeholders and drive product direction.
• Strategy and vision. You’ll explore and recommend emerging UX research methods and help shape how research is practiced across the organization.
• Variety of work. There is no typical day. From unmoderated usability to strategic discovery, you’ll flex your approach based on goals, timelines, and the product phase.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• Your prior experience in user experience research with software, web, and/or mobile applications, along with experience with research and analysis tools like Maze, Dovetail, Figma, Miro, etc, will give you the comfort in this role to be successful.
• Your expertise with UX research methods such as usability testing (unmoderated and moderated), interviews, surveys is required. You can represent user needs through discovery, business process flows, customer journey mapping, persona development and requirements gathering, and you know how to measure human behaviors and attitudes.  You also advocate for the user perspective throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Ability to collaborate with and influence global teams across multiple time zones and countries is embedded in our culture.

• An advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction or a related discipline isn’t required but could set you apart.
